My philosophy on 'photoshopping' you

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive
One of the questions I get asked the most with potential clients is..
"Will you photoshop me 10kg lighter?", or it's close cousin;
 "Will you photoshop my wrinkles away".
I even had one client say once;
"This is probably the photo they will show at my funeral. Make me look good".
I struggle with these questions. At the very core of my values I am here to show you that you are good enough to stand up and be visible in your business. As you are. Right now.
I also know that we are all plagued with bucket loads of insecurities. And, if you are paying me to take photos of you, then I damn well want you to like them!
So what's the balance?
I take photos to help you show your audience who you are. So they can get to know and trust you. That means they need to be able to see you. Heavily edited images don't look like you.
I will fix up stray hairs, and clean up things that aren't normally on your face (hello zits or scratches from kids). But that's it.
You are enough the way you are.
The end.
